Sami and Logan

My Mom really wanted to see this picture so here it is. This is Sami's "boyfriend" Logan. There were in the same class last year and they are in the same class this year. They always walk around holding hands and looking for bugs and snails. Unfortunatly this young love will be torn apart in December because the military calls and Logan's Dad has to answer. First Tyler and then Logan. Will the poor girl ever find a love that lasts?

Breaking Dawn

OK, so I finally got done with Breaking Dawn. Don't worry, I won't put any spoilers in for those of you who are slower than me. It didn't take me long to read it, it just took me a while to start it. The reason being because I did not want the series to end to I was just dragging my feet. I am actually very sad it is over. I am very pleased with how it ended though. I still love Edward and pretty much all the Cullens. If I was a teenager, I would totally have Edward posters all over my room. I might even add a Jacob, Emmitt, and Jasper poster somewhere in there. Now we (at least Rebecca and I) are anxiously awaiting for AAFES to decide when we get to see the movie. Remember we are in Okinawa and don't get the joy of going to the opening on Friday!!!!!! We know we don't get to see it in November so we have our fingers crossed for the beginning of December.

Happy Halloween Part 2

Samantha was a pink poodle and Jillian was a pumpkin. Sami and her Daddy went trick or treating and I stayed home and put Jilli to bed and handed out candy. Sami had fun trick or treating. She finally told her Dad "this is one tired poodle" and they came home.

Happy Anniversary

Hi everyone,

I did the typical guy cardinal sin today. I forgot it was Aimee's and my anniversary. In my defense, I am out of the country and have been for close to three weeks. Aimee called me this morning and asked if I had forgot. I paniced and said "forgot what?"as the blood ran from my face. Then it dawned on me... After the blood started flowing again, I said I was sorry. I didn't know today was the 20th... I didn't even know what day of the week it was.

I just wanted to put it out there that I am so happy that Aimee and I have been together for seven great years. We have two beautiful girls and a great life together. Thank you Aimee for being my "lobster". I love you. Sean

Sisters

The funniest thing happened the other day. Samantha was standing in front of me throwing one of her screaming fits. I was holding Jillian. Jillian started to laugh at Samantha. This totally pissed Sami off and she started screaming louder. The louder Sami screamed the harder Jilli laughed. It was hysterical. I am sure this is just a taste of things to come.

My Dad updated

I want to thank everyone for keeping us in your thoughts. My Dad is on his second round of chemo. Besides feeling like complete shit, he is hanging in there.

New camera

I got the new Canon Rebel digital SLR camera. It rocks. I don't have a clue what I am doing yet but here are some shots done in automatic.

Happy Gram

Samantha got the first Happy-gram of the year at her school. The director came into Sami's room on Friday to give it to her. Sami has been having a hard time when we drop her off so I think they decided to give it to her to help with that. It worked. Today she didn't cry when I dropped her off. Sami was very proud. I love that school, they are the nicest bunch of ladies.

What the.........?

Jillian tried cereal yesterday for the first time. I think the post title sums it up. I don't think she was quite ready for it yet. I don't think she actually swallowed any of it. Maybe if her ditsy Mom would have heated it up a little first, it would have tasted a little better. Sami wanted to taste it and said "that tastes yuck." We are going to try again next week.

Vicky's visit.

Sean's Mom was here last week. Fortunately her trip was not as eventful as my Mom's. There were no diverted airplanes or broken down cars. We just had a nice visit. Sami's behavior around Grandma was a little better. Jillian was just happy like always.

First day of school

Sami is in the 4 year old class at Kuwae Preschool this year. Her first day was on Wednesday. She cried on Wednesday and Friday. Hopefully Monday is better.

My Dad

We just got some bad news about my Dad. He hasn't been feeling well and hasn't been able to breath well. He got an x-ray and it showed he had pnemonia and it also showed a mass. All this happened when my Mom was in Okinawa of course. He got antibiotics and oxygen but would not check into the hospital until my Mom came home. They day after she got back they went to the ER and he was admitted. They did a biopsy on the mass and it came back malignant and has already spread to his lymph nodes. He also has congestive heart failure and a staph infection. He came home today and will get a PET scan on September 12 to see how much the cancer has spread. So everyone keep us in your thoughts and prayers and I will update when I know more.

My Mom's visit

My Mom made the long trip to Okinawa to visit us. If you know my Mom, this was no small thing for her. Anyway, her trip over was quite an adventure. During her Detroit to Osaka flight, a lady got sick and they diverted the plane to Alaska. When she got to Osaka her flight to Okinawa was already gone. She had to stay all night in a hotel in Osaka. She finally got to Okinawa the next afternoon and on the way home from the airport Sean's car broke down. I had to come and get them and the car had to be towed.

Hopefully she had a good time. She enjoyed seeing Jillian but Samantha was somewhat of a Jekel and Hyde to her.

Murder update

A while back I wrote about a guy I knew who had killed 3 people in my little town. Well, finally he has been sentenced. He was found guilty on 3 counts of murder, one for his girlfriend, one for her 4 year old son, and one for their unborn daughter. He will serve 30 years for each count.

Angie's visit

My friend Angie came to visit a few weeks ago. We haven't seen each other in 4 years. We went to see lots of things I haven't even seen yet. It was good to get to hang out with a friend.

Ahhhhhhh!

I started to make a slide show of pics from Angie's visit and the internet was so slow it was going to take me all night. So I gave up on that and tried to post some new pics of Jillian. Well that didn't want to work either. So all you get is this stupid post. Have a nice day. Maybe I will try again tomorrow.

E.A.S.Y. Baby schedules

I know Jillian is only 2 months old but now it the time to start thinking about some kind of schedule. The Baby Whisperer was recommended to me twice. She suggests an EASY schedule. Eat, activity, sleep, your time. Well that doesn't seem to be working for us at the moment. Jillian eats, sleeps, plays, eats, etc. I remember looking at the Baby Whisperer when Sami was a baby and all it did was stress me out. I feel like schedules usually just kind of emerge on their own but then again we screwed Sami up so maybe I am wrong. So any suggestions or opinions on baby schedules is welcome.

Happy 4th of July

We did a whole lot of nothing today since Sean is gone. We briefly attended a neighborhood cookout and then I rushed home to get the girls in bed.

Jillian is 2 months old.

Jillian is 2 months old. She is a great baby. She had her 2 month appt and everything is good. She weights 10lbs 8oz.

Happenings

I am going crazy. Sean is gone and it is very hard to be alone with a newish baby and a preschooler. I know there are people out there reading this that think that would be cake. Let's just say, I am ready for my Corona with olives at the end of the day. I am excited for some things though. My dear friend Diana and her family are moving here and will be here on July 10th. I haven't seen her in 3 years. I can't wait. Another dear friend (and my maid of honor, Angie, is making the long trip all the way here just to visit. She will be here on July 15th. My Mom will be here on Aug 5. Sami and I are both very excited for that. Here is a pic of silly Sami.

Still Alive

Just wanted to let you know we are still alive, very tired but still alive. Jillian is great and Samantha is driving me crazy with school over. Jillian is a month old and weights 8 1/2 lbs. She sleeps for about 4 straight hours at night so we have to get up twice with her. She still sleeps alot during the day too. She hardly ever fusses. Samantha likes to help with her sister and is always very concerned about her. She loves to watch me change her poopy diapers. (Don't ask). Here are some more pictures. I miss my friends. (Jodi, Tiff, Tommye) I need help with Sami and I know you would help me.

We're Home!!!!!!

We are finally home from the hospital. We thought we might me out on Saturday afternoon but they changed their mind at what seemed like the last minute. So Jillian and I spent one more night there. I actually got some sleep since my IV was out and didn't beep every 3 seconds. Here are our homecoming pictures. Now if my type A personality will calm down so I can relax and not try to put everything away all at once.

Aimee and Jillian are doing really good. She is very cute and not fussy at all. Suprise... she likes sucking her thumb too. Samantha is very proud to be a big sister. And by the way, Jillian's middle name is...... Claire.
