We made it

We made it through the typhoon with no problems. Shockingly, we didn't lose power, water, or cable the entire time. The worst we got was a downed palm tree and a small river flowing under our front door. A lot of people lost power and water but I guess it pays to live on the base with the hospital. It his us as a category 5 storm which is what Katrina was. The winds gusted to 110 mph and we got 15 inches of rain. Amazingly there wasn't alot of damage anywhere. Mostly just downed trees.

Glad to hear you all are safe. I know when Jay was stationed over there they had a lot of earthquakes and storms. How much longer do you have over there?

Glad you are ok! What about those earthquakes? Did you feel any of them?

I certainly don't miss that part of Okinawa. Thank God the houses are made of concrete over there. I always wondered where that homeless man that lived on the side of 58 went during the typhoons.
