Base Lockdown
You all know how much I LOVE Okinawa. Well now I love it even more. (Please tell me you get the sarcasm here) We are in base lockdown. We can drive from base to base but cannot go out in town. This means no shopping, eating out, going to the beach, going to the park, anything. We can't take Sami to the zoo, the pet store or the aquarium or anything fun that she likes to do. We are stuck here on the stupid base that has nothing! Why are we in lockdown? Basically the Okinawans hate us evil Americans. Last week there was an alleged rape of a 14 year old by a 38 year old Marine and this weekend 2 Marine's got drunk (shocker) and were stupid and got arrested. So the Okinawans are all pissed off and the powers that be have to kiss some major ass. Which includes making innocent dependents and children suffer. I feel like a prisoner on some fancy prison compound. It has been about 18 years since the last time I was grounded. It sucks. I would be on the first plane out of there. I understand why they have to do it but the bases suck. What is the point of being there if you can't go out anbd enjoy Okinawa? Why can't the Marines just take this stupid pig out into some remote part of the Island and beat the crap out of him?
If I wasn't in my third trimester, I would be leaving.
Can't be as much fun as lock downs at the Woods?

Didn't we have 2 lockdowns. One for crazy Arabs flying planes into buildings and one for 2 crazy snipers shooting random people. At least those lockdowns were for our own protection.
Wasn't the last time you were grounded when you grafitied the bus stop?
Ouch! I'd be pissed too!!! Hopefully it will ease up soon. Sorry you have to go through that. How much longer do you all have over there anyway?
UGH, I think I'd lose it without access to the 100 yen stores and the bunny stores. I can fed-ex some krispy kremes if it will make your day brighter!
